Shortlist the leash construction
Start with the range you want to sell and the collar or harness it will connect to. A useful comparison records the dimensions and hardware of each candidate, rather than treating every rope, webbing or bungee leash as equivalent.

Define length and grip consistently
State how finished length is measured, including whether the measurement includes the hook and handle. Specify rope diameter or flat webbing width and thickness separately. Include handle opening dimensions, padding and any additional grip position in the drawing.
For an adjustable leash, list the required usable lengths and the ring or clip positions. For a bungee style, distinguish unloaded length from extension under agreed conditions. An extended-length number without the review method leaves an important part of the specification undefined.
Review the sample in the intended hand positions. Check access to the clip and adjusters, the handle stitching and any rope-end finish before approving the construction.
Match the hook to the collar or harness
Compare hook opening, overall size, closure action, swivel movement and finish. Check the proposed hook with the actual attachment ring on the matching collar or harness. Record the component reference so that the approved hardware can be identified on a repeat order.
Agree how the hook is attached to the rope or webbing, including folded ends, stitching or other assembly details. If a load claim is required, define the test method, conditions and acceptance criteria for the complete leash. A hardware or webbing result alone does not establish the rating of the assembled product.

Plan artwork and matching sets
For printed webbing, supply a preview and editable artwork, color references, repeat length and direction. Review what remains visible at the handle fold, hook attachment and adjustment hardware. Rope branding may need a different label or application area; confirm the method on the selected construction.
A repeated brand logo is a different brief from a separate pet name on each piece. Confirm variable-text feasibility, character limits, order-file format and packing requirements before ordering individualized leashes.

Prepare a comparable bulk order brief
List the selected reference, requested changes, quantities by length and color, branding, packaging, target market and required delivery date. Identify whether the purchase unit is an individual leash or a complete retail set.
Ask for the applicable minimum quantity by style, color or design, and the sample and production schedule for the agreed specification. Separate product, sample, setup, packaging and freight charges where applicable. Confirm stock for listed wholesale options instead of assuming the catalog is a live inventory feed.
